I have a strong personal practice in the Vinyasa style of yoga, and my teaching emphasizes precise alignment, anatomical awareness, creative transitions, and the joy of being fully present in the body. Vinyasa, which means breath movement system in Sanskrit, is an active flow style of yoga in which physical movement and breath are coordinated. In Vinyasa yoga the breath is the primary vehicle through which we move the body.
In addition to a consistent practice at Om Yoga Center, I have also studied Iyengar yoga with Hugh Millard (a senior teacher at the Iyengar Institute), Jivamukti yoga, and Anusara yoga. I have been privileged to attend workshops with Anna Forrest and Sarahjoy Marsh.
